Who are we?Formerly called the Women's Bible Group, we chose Amari which, in Hebrew, means: promised by God. We are a warm, welcoming group. Our ages range from 20s to 70s. Some are married, some single; some go to work, others have young children at home. Some have been Christians for many years, some are new Christians, and some are investigating the Christian faith. But we all want to know more of God, and more of him in our lives. God shows himself to us in the Bible, in ways which which encourage and challenge us. So the Bible is the focus of our meetings. ![]() What do we do?We usually meet fortnightly during term times. Our meetings begin with coffee and time to chat, after which we study and discuss the Bible together. We also have a book table, with books to compliment our Bible topics: we can borrow or order these. We often use Bible discussion booklets produced by the Good Book Company. http://www.thegoodbook.co.uk/ From time to time we have events such as a harvest supper; a pudding night; and special meals to which we invite our friends, at which a speaker introduces the Christian faith. These meals are generally followed by a church-led Christianity Explored course. We enjoy going to the London Women's Convention. http://www.christianconventions.org.uk/ ![]() We meet at different homes, alternate Tuesdays, 7.30-9.30pm.
