The Prodigal is a termly magazine produced by Barton Evangelical Church which aims to help you get to know a bit more about the people of Barton and the community we are part of. We share something of what we do, the things we are interested in and think are important, our news and various events that are going on amongst us and around us.
We also seek to share what we as a church believe in a manner that relates to the way people think today. The name for the magazine 'the Prodigal' is a reference to the famous story of Jesus about a wayward son who is completely forgiven by his father. This is at the heart of what we believe. God is by default for us. He is forever looking for us to turn back to him so we can be brought home as part of the family. There's a lot more to it than that but this is the start.
